Front Desk Family Engagement Coordinator

The **Family Engagement Coordinator** is responsible for providing ongoing communication and support families and parents with children enrolled with the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire. This position will work closely with the Billing Manager, program Directors, and the Enrollment Specialist to assist with welcoming families into the organization, processing enrollments, maintaining childrens files, manage the waitlists, assist with billing procedures and help answer parent questions and concerns.
**These are some of the things our Family Engagement Coordinator do:**
- Maintain all files for children enrolled at the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire and provide guidance, communication, and support with questions and concerns brought forward by parents.
- Work closely with the program Directors and Billing Manager to maintain the waitlist, enrollment numbers, and enrollment/withdraw forms.
- Follow weekly billing procedures, provide billing statements, and assist in resolving any payment related issues.
- Assist families with completing enrollment paperwork, gathering necessary information, and ensuring accurate data entry into the program's database.
- Welcome new children and families to programs and activities, introduce them to others, explain guidelines and rules, and encourage participation.
- Serve as the point of contact for families, parents, staff, and children.
- Assist parents and families with Child Care Assistance and scholarship applications.
- Assist with managing internal and external communications and awareness of the mission, services, and activities relative to the programs of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire.
- Seek opportunities to develop collaborative relationships to enhance and expand program offerings and services.
- Maintain open communication with employees and parents including email, newsletters, group meetings, one on one, and social media.
- Assist in minor cleaning duties including but not limited to: wiping down shared work spaces, washing entry area windows, vacuuming, and taking out trash.
- Responsible for all other duties and tasks as assigned by the Billing Manager.
**This is what the pay and schedule looks like:**
- This position starts at $17.00/hr
- Part-time role Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 6:30pm at the Empower Campus Learning Center. We prefer our staff to have consistent schedules and we are closed nights and weekends - having a life outside of work is important!
**Education and Experience Requirements:**
- Previous experience working with children and youth or in a customer service setting is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid CPR Certification or the ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification within 90 days of employment is required. The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire does provide training for those not certified.
**Skills and Knowledge Requirements:**
- Must be organized with excellent time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize duties, work independently, and as part of a team.
- Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to change.
- Must have computer knowledge and technical experience in office applications such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and Microsoft Office.
**Work Environment and Physical Requirements:**
- Constant hearing, hand-eye coordination, mind-eye coordination.
- Intermittent speaking, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting, reaching, and squatting.
- Potential exposure to communicable diseases.
- Frequent lifting of objects under 20 pounds, and occasional lifting of items up to 75 pounds.
- Indoor and outdoor work with exposure to extreme temperatures in summer and winter.
