Receptionist

Horizon Health is a Critical Access, Rural Health Facility comprised of 25-inpatient beds located in Paris, IL & a multitude of outpatient clinic settings including Family Practice and Specialty Clinics in Paris and surrounding cities. Position Summary:

The Occupational Health Receptionist assists in the smooth, timely and accurate flow of Occupational Health clients and employers. Schedules occupational health and workers compensation clients, interacts with clients in person and on the phone, assists in maintaining the occupational/employee health files according to occupational health standards and requirements. Assists with any patient care duties as needed. Follows all policies and procedures established by Horizon Health. Maintains client confidentiality as it relates to Occupational Health.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities/Accountabilities):

• Recognizes/maintains appropriate client and employer confidentiality.
• Serves as the receptionist for the department – greet clients, answers questions, and answers incoming calls using good telephone etiquette.
• Demonstrates proficiency and accuracy in scheduling, order entry, resulting of tests, and filing.
• Consistently demonstrates the ability to coordinate a series of requests with accuracy and flexibility to adjust scheduling in response to client/employer needs.
• Interacts with department, other facility departments, clients, and employers in a courteous and positive manner.
• Assists in maintaining appointment schedules for Occupational Health and contacts employers to reschedule clients who did not show up or cancelled appointments.
• Provides timely communication to employers regarding occupational health and workers compensation services.
• Work with multiple companies and their work comp carriers to obtain insurance approvals and denials.

The responsibilities listed above are not all-inclusive; other activities may be required in support of the hospital’s goals and objectives.

Position Requirements:

• Current CNA or MA certification preferred.
• High School Diploma required
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Basic clerical and computer skills
• Basic knowledge of occupational health insurance authorizations is preferred
• Basic knowledge of occupational health and work comp regulations is preferred
• Must be able to work with and handle multiple different company and insurance requests and requirements.
• Obtains drug screen collector certification and breath alcohol technician certification within 6 months of hire.

Pay Range:

Pay ranges from $15.000/hour to $20.603/hour (rate of pay is based on applicable years of experience)

Position Information:

Location: 1 Phipps Lane Paris, IL 61944

Hours: Monday- Friday 8a-5p with one of those being half day. Day of week rotates.
