Benny's is a new, Italian- American restaurant in Downtown Portland.
Were looking for a passionate and friendly Hospitality Manager to become an integral part of our team. Your role will be about creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, ensuring our guests have a delightful and memorable dining experience. This role blends customer service, team leadership, and operational skills to create a positive environment for everyone involved.
What Youll Be Doing:
Guest Experience Management
-Welcome and engage with our guests to make sure they're having a great time.
-Address any guest concerns with a smile and foster a culture of excellent service among our team.
-Keep an eye on the vibe and service quality throughout the restaurant.
-Anticipate what our guests might need and respond quickly to ensure they feel valued.
-Build lasting connections with our patrons.
Staff Supervision & Training
-Manage front-of-house staff (hosts, servers, bartenders) with enthusiasm.
-Know our menu inside and out.
-Train our staff in customer service and keep everyone up to date on safety procedures and policies.
-Inspire and motivate your team, creating a positive and enjoyable workplace.
-Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
-Always maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, setting an excellent example for everyone.
Operations Oversight
-Ensure our dining area is clean and beautifully presented.
-Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
-Oversee opening and closing procedures of scheduled shifts.
-Keep communication open and effective between front-of-house and kitchen staff for seamless service
-Adhere to checklists and standardized operational procedures to keep us organized.
-Report concerns or ideas to the General Manager and Ownership to improve operations.
What youll need:
-Relevant experience in the hospitality industry.
-A love for hospitality, restaurants, and people!
-Great communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
-Basic knowledge of OpenTable, POS systems, Excel, and Google Drive.
-Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to engage with guests warmly.
-Proven leadership experience in a small restaurant setting.
-Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
-Flexibility to work most weekends and evenings.
