JOB SUMMARY: Provides the highest level of Guest Service. Cleans, sanitizes, and supplies public and employee restrooms in assigned areas on the Boardwalk. Answers guests questions and provides consistent, friendly Guest Service.

Shifts fall within possible operating hours of 8:00 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week. Must be at least 18 years old.
JOB TASKS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): - Greet every Guest and answer Guests questions and provide consistent, friendly and helpful guest service. - Clean, sanitize and supply restroom facilities. - Sweep and mop floors, scrub and clean sinks and toilets. - Clean up graffiti or markings on walls, stalls or fixtures. - Clean up isolated accidents (guest/employee sickness.) - Stock and restock all paper products: toilet paper, seat covers, sanitary products and waste bags. - Fill in daily maintenance reports. - Check supply closet for and stock proper cleaning materials. - Observe and report any illegal or suspicious activity (such as drug sale or use.) - Observe and report any vandalism, unusual circumstances and work required. - Answer guest questions and provide consistent, friendly and helpful Guest Service. - Direct Guests to vacant stalls as needed. - Report major plumbing problems to maintenance. - Follow safe working practices and report safety problems. - Perform other duties as assigned. Lead Restroom Attendant - Oversee and supervise Restroom Attendants. - Train and motivate staff to provide consistent, friendly and helpful Guest Service. - Perform duties of Restroom Attendant. - Assign breaks and employee work locations. - Ensure that employees conform to company and department policies. - Ensure that supplies are ordered and stocked. - Perform other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS INTERNAL: All levels of Santa Cruz Seaside Company employees.
RELATIONSHIPS EXTERNAL: High volume of interaction with guests. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Restroom Attendant - Must provide outstanding Guest Service. Prior custodial or manual labor experience, including building maintenance is desirable. Lead Restroom Attendant - Must excel at providing outstanding Guest Service. At least one season experience as a Restroom Attendant or comparable experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: - Ability to provide consistent, friendly and helpful guest service. - Ability to communicate clearly to guests to give instructions and directions. - Ability to follow safety practices and be safety conscious. - Ability to use cleaning products safely. - Ability to follow verbal and written directions. - Ability to work independently with little supervision. - Ability to learn and apply methods of cleaning. - Ability to complete simple written reports.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Able to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time. - Able to work in a noisy environment. - Able to work with standard cleaning supplies such as ammonia, glass cleaner and bleach. - Able to lift up to 30 pounds. - Bi-manual dexterity.
