Job Description
Pay: $ 18.64 per hour**
**Work schedule: Full-time, day schedule**

**What youll do:** Reports to the laundry supervisor. Responsible for proper use and maintenance of laundry equipment, maintaining records of laundry operations in compliance with MTC and customer directives.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Operate laundry equipment. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment.
+ Perform tests on wash formulas.
+ Provide the receipt, storage, repair and issue of detainee necessities, and implement inventory control procedures.
+ Maintain related records and preparation for related reports.
+ Requires long periods of walking and standing.
+ Pushing and pulling of laundry carts and lifting laundry bags full of laundry which may weigh up to 30 lbs. required.
+ Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.
+ Maintain accountability of detainees and property; adhere to safety practices.
**Education and Experience Requirements:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ One (1) year of experience in institutional laundry operations preferred.
+ Valid drivers license in the State of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
**Post Hire Requirements:**
Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and maintain appropriate facility clearance.
