POSITION TITLE: Custodian

Faircrest Memorial Elementary School

Full-Time - Day Shift

Effective July 1, 2025

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• must have a high school diploma (or equivalent)
• must be able to perform cleaning duties as outlined on daily work schedule
• must have strength and dexterity to handle all labor tasks connected with the job
• must be able to physically lift 50 pounds
• must possess good public relations skills and the ability to work well with others
• must possess ability to work without supervision
• must have a good record of punctuality and demonstrate building average attendance
• must have an acceptable background check and complete all required personnel forms
• must have consistently demonstrated tact, self-restraint, judgement and strategy in dealing with a variety of people and situations
• must be able to take directions
• must support the district and building continuous improvement and long range plans
• must support the district effective school reform practices and district mission statement
• must be a positive voice with other staff members at all times
• shall perform other duties as assigned by Director of Operations and Building Administrator
• ability to travel building to building during shift
• willingness to work overtime when needed

DESIRED QUALIFICATION:

• previous custodial experience as a custodian in the school district is preferred
