Performs a variety of duties in the department including hot and cold food preparation, grill cooking, portioning hot and cold foods, cash handling and general cleaning of area. Pay Range Minimum $21.00 Midpoint $21.00 Maximum $22.00 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Experience Required: Minimum (1) one year of general food service experience. Preferred: Two or more (2+) years of experience with food service. Education Required: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience can be accepted in lieu of education. Preferred: Associate degree. Training Required: None required. Specialized Skills Required: Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English. General kitchen knowledge in food safety, sanitation, & production. Ability to organize time; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission; understand and exceed customer expectations. Preferred: Computer skills. Ability to use web based programs. Licensure Required: None required. Preferred: Serv-Safe certification Food Handlers Card. Work Environments - Functional Demand: Medium - High energy level Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull +/- 150-200 lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer 150-200 lbs. (ie. Patient) .
