Facilitate successful inventory pars and controls. Direct actions of Bar Back to ensure productive work time. It is through your abilities and service skills that the customer will develop a familiarity and sense of loyalty to return and have an experience that only RED can convey. Must possess a valid unexpired Food Handlers & RBS Certification. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Collect money for drinks served. Check identification of customers in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol. Balance cash receipts. Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons. Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment. Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons. Serve wine, liquor, and bottled or draft beer. Clean bars, work areas, and tables. Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, in order to prepare cocktails and other drinks Serve snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar. Order or requisition liquors and supplies. Ask customers who become loud and obnoxious to leave, or physically remove them. Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks. Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays. Plan, organize, and control the operations of a cocktail lounge or bar. Supervise the work of bar staff and other bartenders. Plan bar menus. Prepare appetizers, such as pickles, cheese, and cold meats. Create drink recipes Prepare beverages for servers, for the outlets and room service, and banquets at times. Assist servers and other Restaurant employees when necessary Provide a SMILING positive impression throughout the guest's stay. Establish a sense of competence through your extensive drink and menu knowledge. Follow rules and guidelines spontaneously. Provide the highest quality service to the guest. Proficient in the use of the P.O.S.Accuracy in financial transactions and closeout procedures. Time management - Use time effectively, accomplish all tasks of operation and company goal. Arrangement decision - To accommodate customer request without interfering with the operation. Keeping the bar at a certain level of cleanliness to ensure the proper stocking of product. Adherence to Safety Guidelines: Equipment training & maintenance. Cleanliness. Facility maintenance. Awareness of First aid kit. Emergency center knowledge & location. Awareness of Evacuation plan. Emergency phone numbers. Fire prevention equipment location & operation. Electrical box location & main shut-off. Staff safety meeting. Awareness of alcohol consumption laws and your responsibilities to them. Adherence to Security Guidelines Register drawer locked at all times. Opening & closing guideline awareness. No unauthorized use of keys, security cards, security codes. No unauthorized use of personnel files. All reasonable requests of management Value & respect company property. Sanitation guideline adherence. Daily side work in place and in use. Adherence to cleaning program. Preventative maintenance Work in tandem with the Kitchen and ensure all food quality is of the highest standard and appearance Take direction from Kitchen management as needed to ensure quality product Respond to any and all customer requests with a positive and pro-active attitude Work with co-workers to ensure excellent customer service at all times Take direction from Restaurant management & supervisors promptly and effectively. Maintain excellent knowledge of beverage, drink mixes, and ensure proper beverage service in accordance with state and federal liquor liability laws. Answer all general questions about restaurant. Be proficient in the use of the P.O.S. system Represent RED in the best possible light to the best of your ability. All voids and comps with explanations and signed by supervisor. All opening / closing procedures completed without exception. Charge for all product delivered to the customer. Use triangle fold napkin as place setting on the bar for all dining. Fill out daily breakage sheet. Restock and clean for the next shift. Make drinks for food servers only that are ordered through the P.O.S. Always present a check to the customer at the time of service. THESE RULES ARE MANDATORY AND NON-NEGOTIABLE Be happy and make eye contact with all of our guests Offer the best items not the most expensive items. There should be nothing more nothing less on our tables at ALL times Re-fold or replace the napkin when the guests leaves his or her seat Open table is our best friend.
