To set up, tear down, and clean all space employed with Banquets and Conferences.Banquets is one of our most valuable and important departments dealing with many customers through the year. Valid unexpired Food Handlers Certification required. Responsibilities Cleans Function Rooms Prior to Set-up. Responsible for the set-up & breakdown of all buffet and equipment set ups in all areas of the Resort. Sets equipment to Daily Work Sheet specifications. Provides required amenities, as dictated by Banquet Department Standards. Refreshes meeting rooms during meal and coffee breaks. Breaks down meeting rooms as soon as possible after end of function. Completes Special Projects as directed by department management. Moves convention material boxes, programs, etc. from resort receiving docks, registration areas, sleeping rooms, or suites. Caring for the equipment. Accommodates special customer needs, hanging banners for meetings and food/beverage functions Follow Banquet Event Orders (BEO) Install and remove air walls (if applicable) Breaking down service areas Any & all reasonable requests of management Qualifications Prior experience in a warehouse, receiving department or hotel banquet is preferred. Valid unexpired Food Handlers Certification required High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Must be available to work weekends & holidays Excellent customer service practices Adherence to departmental and property standards and procedures Teamwork: Works efficiently and effectively as member of a team; communicates and cooperates with banquet & property staff
