A caregiver in this position works evenings, 2:30pm - 11:00pm. Full time and part time schedules are available. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Perform housekeeping duties in patient and public areas to ensure a clean, attractive and safe environment. Areas include patient rooms, utility rooms, nurse stations, isolation rooms, bathrooms, locker rooms, exam rooms and offices. Empty, clean and reline waste baskets. Perform daily cleaning, high/low dusting, mopping, sweeping, spot cleaning, polishing and vacuuming. Wipe tabletops, phones, TV cords, and doorknobs. Replenish room supplies, such as toilet paper, paper towels, seat covers and hand soap. Transport trash from utility rooms and collection spots to pick up points. Assist in cleaning emergency situations that are observed or requested. Maintain arrangement of furniture in patient rooms, offices and lounges. Understand the proper use of chemicals, dilution, usage and measuring. Participate in and attend all in-services, become familiar with the employee handbook and understand policies and procedures. Accept and carry out assignments, provide coverage for laundry caregivers and perform other tasks as assigned. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
