Job Details Bolo, Philadelphias newest Latin American dining room and rum bar nestled in Rittenhouse Square, boasts an expansive menu of traditional and imaginative takes on Latin American and Caribbean cuisine. From acclaimed Chef Yun Fuentes, the bi-level, ultra-colorful restaurant and bar transports guests through food, beverage, design, and atmosphere to the islands, specifically Puerto Rico, home to Fuentes and grandfather Juan Don Johnny Fuentes of whom Bolo is inspired by and named after. In addition to the creative, expertly-curated dinner menu, Bolo boasts a full rum-focused bar program with variety of classic and signature cocktails, craft beer, and more.
We are seeking a Maitred to join our family who is passionate about service and hospitality leadership. The ideal candidate has experience running the door of a high volume restaurant, and is well-versed in managing reservation system(s). You should have strong communication skills, an affinity for making guests feel at home, and possess both confidence and composure in working within a dynamic environment. This role requires quick-thinking and is perfect for a candidate who truly loves the theater of curating an exceptional dining experience.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Weekend availability - great opportunity for those with a need for a "non-conventional" schedule
- 2-3 years of experience in a Lead Host or Maitre'd role at a high-volume restaurant
- Experience with OpenTable/Resy reservations system is preferable
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to articulate detailed information to guests, think quick on your feet, and maintain standards of professionalism and composure
