Job Details Job DetailsWe are seeking a Maitre D/Manager for the iconic Surf Lodge brand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food and beverage (specifically at the door) know how to manage a team, be a team player and possess excellent organizational skills.
The Maitre D/Manager will work with other managers and directors to help finalize menu planning, staff coordination, and will oversee our day-to-day restaurant operations, including but not limited to, reservation seating. The Maitre D/Manager will make sure the BOH and FOH teams are organized and stay in communication, maintain the highest standards of service, and address any issues to ensure the highest guest satisfaction.Maitre D/Manager Duties: - Manage the reservations book Friday-Sunday, maximizing seating potential
- Oversee the host team, ensuring ongoing training and development takes place
- Support BEO booking
- Minimize food waste and resource usage
- Address staff and guest concerns
- Lead and mentor staff to maintain consistent service standards and efficiency, being actively involved on the floor
- Establish and manage relationships with vendors, purveyors, and service contractors
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 2 years in similar, fast-paced, F&B position, in high volume restaurant or nightclub
Experience in maintaining state and federal health and safety regulations Experience in completing administrative tasks, including reporting, budgeting, project management, etc
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Must have excellent leadership, organizational, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to multitask in a demanding, high-volume environment.
Must be able to speak, read, write and in clear English.
The ability to speak a secondary language is convenient but not necessary.
Ability to navigate and utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), appropriate point of sale (POS) and reservations systems, and any other required operating machines.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Weekly ($1,600.00 - $1,900.00)
