The Environmental Services Assistant reports to the environmental services manager. This position works with other environmental services assistants as part of the environmental services team. As part of this team, this person performs the daily operations for routine cleaning and maintenance tasks and related work as required.

ResponsibilitiesPosition Accountabilities/Duties:
Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, wiping down counters, cleaning bathrooms, emptying garbage, etc.
Take down and rehang drapes and curtains
Move furniture, beds, and set up rooms
Development & Education:
Reading, writing and mathematical skills at level normally acquired through completion of high school or equivalent preferred.
Basic UPH Performance Criteria
Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines.
Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, DIA, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.
Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED Preferred
- Cleaning Expreince Preferred
- Communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with others
- Organizational skills and ability to handle direction for work and to stay on task
