We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring efficient service and collaboration with the kitchen staff. Responsibilities
Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Take accurate food and drink orders using the Toast POS system.
Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials, to enhance guest experience through effective upselling techniques.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation.
Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
Process payments accurately and efficiently while adhering to food handling and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
Assist in training new staff members on service standards and restaurant policies as needed.
The common sense stuff you should know and if you don't think you know then you should read... but worries me about your application...
Previous experience in food service or fine dining is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
Basic math skills for accurate order processing and payment handling.
Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with team members in both front-of-house and kitchen settings.
Knowledge of food handling practices to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with the food industry is a plus, particularly in fine dining settings.
