Are you a friendly, organized, and professional individual with a passion for patient care? Our busy, Oncology medical office is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist who thrives on creating a welcoming and efficient environment for our patients and team.

What Youll Do:

Greet Patients Warmly: Welcome patients and visitors with an engaging, compassionate attitude.
Patient Check-In & Check-Out: Guide patients through the process, collect necessary forms, and process payments.
Appointment Management: Schedule and reschedule appointments, as well as coordinate follow-up visits.
Insurance Verification & Billing Coordination: Assist with verifying insurance details and managing billing inquiries.
Manage Referrals & Authorizations: Coordinate necessary authorizations for specialist referrals and diagnostic services.
Patient Records Management: Handle confidential information following HIPAA guidelines, ensuring patient privacy is maintained at all times.
Office Communications: Send appointment reminders, update patient charts, and relay important messages between medical staff and patients.
Maintain the Front Desk Area: Keep front desk areas organized, well-stocked, and welcoming.

What Were Looking For:

Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail
Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office
Prior experience in the medical or healthcare field is a plus
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following HIPAA standards

Duties include:

Check-in patients; update demographics in EMR system.
Schedule and confirm appointments; Verify Insurance, eligibility, get pre-authorizations.
Prep charts; File lab reports, other records and email reports.
Answer phones and check faxes.
Collect co-pays, issue receipts and manage daily collections.
Complete dictations; Input hospital intake sheets.
Respond to patient portal and emails.
Account for drugs received from pharmacies.
Help in other areas as necessary.

Must have a pleasant personality; be a team player; willing to handle patients compassionately;

Experienced and bilinguals English/Vietnamese or English/Spanish preferred.
