Location: The 1752 Estate (Prince Edward County, VA) & Private Residence (Richmond, VA)
The 1752 Estate, a historic private residence in Prince Edward County, Virginia, along with the couple's main home in Richmond, seeks a caring and capable Cook to join its household team. This roles primary responsibility is cooking for and supporting the well-being of the estates ownersa husband and wifeat both residences, with occasional service for invited guests. One of the primaries is recovering from a recent stroke and requires extra attention and thoughtful care.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare lunch, snack, and dinner for the two primary residents
Prepare next-day breakfast items in advance each evening
Shop for groceries and kitchen supplies; keep pantry and refrigerators fully stocked
Serve meals with care and professionalism
Clean and organize kitchen areas after each meal
Prepare occasional meals for guests, including managing temporary support (servers, kitchen aides, etc.)
Create and place simple floral arrangements for tables, sideboards, and gathering spaces
Preferred Skills:
Strong computer and technical skills are highly valued
oAbility to use grocery list or recipe apps, schedule coordination tools, email, and household systems
oComfort with smart home technology and digital communication platforms
Qualifications:
Experience in private household service, restaurants or hotels a plus but not required
Ability to work independently across two residences, maintaining organization and consistency
Gardening experience is a strong plus
Professional demeanor, emotional maturity, and a caring disposition
