We're searching for a Cook/Kitchen Assistant to serve with our Operation Heal our Patriots project in Port Alsworth, Alaska. Operation Heal Our Patriots gives wounded veterans and their spouses the opportunity for spiritual refreshment, physical renewal, and marriage enrichment. Couples participate in Biblically-based seminars that help strengthen their relationships with God and others and enjoy the beauty of Gods creation with outdoor activities at our Alaskan wilderness lodge.

A day in the life of a Cook/Kitchen Assistant:

At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.

In the role of Cook/Kitchen Assistant, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
• Performs daily preparation of meals for staff, volunteers, and occasionally guests at the Samaritan Lodge Alaska 'The General' dining hall in Port Alsworth, Alaska.
• Prepare and serve food according to approved menus and standardized recipes while keeping waste to a minimum
• Able to competently complete any/all tasks in the kitchen
