Overnight Janitor

About the Role:

The Non Union Janitor Nights position is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at the Nissan Smyrna facility. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure that all areas are hygienic and presentable for employees and visitors alike. The janitor will be responsible for the upkeep of restrooms, break rooms, and office spaces, contributing to the overall health and safety of the workplace. Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness are crucial for this position. Ultimately, the janitor plays a vital role in supporting the operational efficiency of the facility by creating a pleasant atmosphere for all who enter.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and carpet cleaners.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
• Ensure that restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies and maintained in a sanitary condition.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as needed, such as deep cleaning or floor maintenance.

3rd shift 9:00pm - 5:30am Sunday - Thursday.

Schedule times will adjust according to production needs. Scheduled over time is mandatory.
