Job Title CustodianGroundskeeper Part Time Location LaMarr Civic Center Eufaula AL Salary 12 phr Experience At least 3 years experience as a custodian Education A minimum of a high school diploma Overall Description Under the direction of the owners Event Manager and Assistant Event Manager perform the full range of custodial duties as they relate to the care maintenance and cleaning of assigned buildings and facilities Responsibilities Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash tidying furniture and dusting surfacesSweep and mop floors vacuum carpetsWash and sanitize toilets sinks and restock disposablesWipe mirrors and windowsMaintain outer premises by watering plants mowing lawn cleaning entrancesUtilize insecticides to prevent infestation by dangerous pestsPerform maintenance and minor repairs replacing broken switches fixing door handles minor leaks etcReport major damages to management and oversee repairsSecure facilities after operating hours by locking doors closing windows and setting up the alarmEnsure all walkways driveways parking areas and steps are in order and clear of any debris to maintain a clear path and secure footingSetup event roomsSkills and Qualifications Proven experience as custodian janitor or in a similar roleKnowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliancesFamiliarity with basic landscaping and handyman practicesAttention to detail and conscientiousnessVery good physical condition and strengthVaried work hours are a requirement for this position to support various events
