Market America, a Global Product Brokerage and Internet Marketing company that specializes in One-to-One Marketing, is seeking an experienced Global Travel Concierge for our Travel & Events Team.
Position Summary
Manages complex individual and corporate and personal travel program for employees, executives, and VIPs, including air, ground service, and living accommodations. Has staff responsibility. 2-3 yrs of luxury travel experience for HNWI Preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Books travel including air, hotels, cars, VIP services, etc.
- Solid knowledge of native Sabre
- Good understanding of complex international airfares, including routing, fares and pricing, and travel documentation requirements
- Proficient in issuing tickets, ticket exchanges and refunds
- American Express Platinum/Centurion card or Virtuoso-level leisure experience
- Preferable CTA, CTC or CTIM designations
- Familiar with Concur Expense
- Comfortable with concierge services including dining, entertainment/show tickets, ground transportation
- Position involves 24x7 accessibility to executives
- Monitor flights of executive travelers using any available resources, such Flight Stats or FlightAware
- Extensive domestic and advanced International geography knowledge.
- Knowledge of unique requirements for car hire and private jet/FBO locations.
- Negotiates travel vendor contracts and relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Manages travel processes to ensure high level of customer service.
- Researches and resolves issues to ensure smooth travel operations.
- Determines effective alternatives to adapt to immediate changes in travel plans.
- Coordinates VIP itineraries, and ensures that personal effects arrive at destination on time.
- Creates and implements departmental best practices and policies to improve efficiencies.
- Remains current on travel industry to identify trends and cost savings.
- Handles travel refunds.
- Advises employees and management on travel-related requirements.
- Manages corporate travel credit cards and provides monthly reconciliation and reporting.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Business, Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, or related field.
Five to seven years experience in corporate and VIP travel including charter planes, international travel services, ground transportation
Five to seven years experience in corporate travel and staff supervision.
Or combination of education, skill, and experience.
Skills
Proficient use of MS Office Products, Sabre, and Internet.
