District Receptionist
2025-2026 School Year
Position Title: District Receptionist
Department/Section: District Office/ Administration Building
Supervisor: Director of Human Resources
Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $20.75/hour (depending on experience).
Pay Grade: 61
Schedule: 40 hours/week; Monday - Friday (7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.); 12 month calendar. Benefits offered. Arizona State Retirement System eligible.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:
Seeking candidate who understands what it means to be the "first-impression" of our School District. The right candidate for this position will be committed to maintaining a positive and outgoing attitude and will warmly and promptly greet visitors/customers in person and on the phone (students, parents, community members, FUSD employees and staff, vendors). In addition to serving as the Administration District Receptionist, duties include managing the District's Industrial Claims Process. Training will be provided.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent certification - required
College degree preferred
At least 3 years prior experience in similar role
Ability to deal effectively and positively with public, parents, staff and students
Previous experinece in a high-standard customer service environment preferred
Must be able to multi-task in a high traffic environment
Biligual preferred
TYPICAL TASKS:
- Greet visitors and determine nature and purpose of the visit. Direct them to specific department/destination.
- Operate multi-line phone system, screen, or forward calls. Provide information, taking messages or scheduling appointments.
- Provide information about the district office, such as location of departments, schools stes, employees within the organization or services provided.
- May schedule space or equipment for special programs.
- Creat work orders to Maintenance/Facility Services at the request of adminstration center staff.
- Perform administrative support tasks such as proofreading, filing, mailing, etc.
- Sign for incoming deliveries and direct delivery personnel as needed.
- Workers compensation: Oversee the procedures for workers compensation including assisting with reports, communication with staff and supervisors, attending hearings, distribution of forms, safety newsletter, and other information. Will work closely with the District's Industrial Insurance Carrier, coordinate modified duty for injured workers, compile injury information and file year-end OSHA report and maintaining OSHA records.
