The Food Service Worker helps provide Head Start children with meals that are nutritional and appropriate to their needs in an emotionally warm and caring environment. The Food Service Worker helps Education staff in providing nutritional education to the children.

This part-time position is 5 hours a day, 5 days a week

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Experience in quantity cooking and volume buying.

+ Knowledge of nutritional needs of preschool children.

+ Good oral and written communication skills.

+ Ability to work with and relate to parents, children, and staff.

+ Valid NYS driver's license and reliable means of personal transportation.

+ High School Diploma or GED

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Wash Aprons for Service Providers

+ Clean Laundry Rooms

+ Put Away Paper Product Delivery

+ Monitor and Maintain Outside Garbage Cans, sidewalks and entrances

+ Clean Glass windows, Doors of Entrance Ways

+ Cleaning Duties as Requested

Fingerprint Day Care background check required.
