Short Order Grill/Fry Cook

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Short Order Grill/Fry Cook should be quick on their feet, detail-oriented, passionate about preparing high-quality food, and excited to work in a high-energy environment. As a Grill/Fry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of menu items, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience through efficient service.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

• Prepare and cook menu items while adhering to recipe standards and presentation guidelines.
• Operate grill, fryer, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner to meet fast-casual service standards.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Monitor food inventory and communicate restocking needs to the kitchen manager.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
• Assist with prep work, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and setting up the line.
• Adhere to all company policies, health regulations, and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Previous experience as a short order cook, grill cook, or fry cook, in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred. We are willing to train enthusiastic candidates.
• Knowledge of proper food handling, safety, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handlers Certification or equivalent is a plus.
