Job DetailsBaking/Pastry Cook (4 shifts available: Thursday - Sunday 6am-2pm)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Baking/Pastry Cook to join our team and assist in the preparation of all ingredients and dishes in our French restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for following recipes, preparing ingredients, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the prep kitchen/bakery.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the pastry team in the preparation of all ingredients and dishes, including sourdough bread, lamination of croissant dough, brisee /sable dough, custards, pastry cream, meringues, and more.
Follow recipes and instructions accurately, ensuring that all ingredients are properly prepared and measured
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the prep kitchen/bakery, including the cleaning of equipment and work surfaces, and the proper storage and rotation of food products
Assist with breakfast buffet preparation, and delivery, for Hotel Cleo
Assist with inventory management, including the proper ordering, receiving, and storage of food products
Work closely with the kitchen team, including the Executive Pastry Chef and Sous Chef, to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience in a culinary or food service role, preferably in a high-end restaurant
Basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Attention to detail, with a focus on quality and consistency
Ability to work well under pressure, and to meet strict deadlines
Understanding of safety and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Culinary training or degree preferred
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
