Buddakan , the iconic NYC dining institution nestled in the heart of the Meatpacking District, is seeking a passionate and creative Sous Chef to join our dynamic team as we embark on a thrilling new chapter: a collaboration with Chef Danny Bowien, the trailblazing force behind Mission Chinese.

Join us in hosting a surreal dining experience where the serenity of Asia meets the flamboyance of 16th-century Paris. Ornate chandeliers, gilded details, and otherworldly art set the stage for an immersive culinary journey one that will soon include collaborative dishes inspired by Chef Danny's bold and innovative spirit.

This position offers a comprehensive package including:

  • A base salary range of $75,000 - $85,000

Desired candidates will be:
  • Humble in their approach to learning and professional self-development

Desired candidates will have:
  • Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire, teach, and coach restaurant employees
  • 2+ years of kitchen leadership experience as a sous chef in high-volume and well-rated restaurants
  • The ability to support the line during service while managing transition from prep to service
  • Experience with Asian cuisine is highly preferred
