Summary:
As a Fry Cook, you play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, flavorful meals that keep our guests coming back. You are responsible for the setup, preparation, and execution of dishes that meet our strict quality standards and specifications. Your attention to detail and dedication to consistency ensure that every plate leaving the kitchen meets guest expectations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Transport supplies from the storeroom and stock in designated areas. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
Meet with Chef to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job performance
Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment and supplies. Ensure everything complies with standards
Prepare all meals following recipes and yield guides, according to department standards.
Inform the Sous Chef of any shortages before the item runs out
Monitor quality and quantity of mis en place and correct accordingly
Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department and hotel requirements
Disinfect and sanitize cutting boards and worktables
Transport empty, dirty pots and pans to the designated area
Breakdown work station and complete closing duties according to department standards
Review status of work and follow-up actions required with the Sous Chef before leaving
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the companys guest service culture standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Prior experience as a Prep Cook at a hotel restaurant or institutional kitchen preferred
Ability to expand and condense recipes
Ability to Compute basic mathematical calculations
Working knowledge of American Standard Weights and Measures
Proven experience providing high level of guest service
At least 18 Years of Age
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States
