As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment and/or processes in the assigned area, while working in partnership with production team members and area engineers.
Equipment Maintenance Technicians monitor tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to troubleshoot and repair equipment issues. They are also required to assist with equipment installs, tests, create and modify equipment procedures, and increase tool uptime through systematic problem solving and troubleshooting, quality workmanship, thoroughly document all maintenance performed in established check sheets and tracking programs, and routine review of maintenance check sheets and procedures.
Responsibilities:- Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
- Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and schematics, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
- Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
- Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required
- May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off) with the need to stand the entire shift and lift equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in data extraction, analysis, and reporting
- Basic PC skills including MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Basic knowledge and understanding of semiconductor equipment and processes
- Basic understanding and accurate application of statistical process control principles
- Basic understanding of mathematical concepts and problem solving, at least to an algebraic level
- Basic knowledge of test and calibration equipment (O-scopes, DMMs, etc.)
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of the specific area equipment and processes
- Basic understanding of SPC principles and proper application
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of AC/DC circuits including fundamentals of electricity, and basic electronic components and circuits
- Experience in semiconductor test equipment and probe
- AAS in Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics or similar, or,
- BS in Electronics Engineering Technology, or equivalent military experience, or,
- An education in Electronics Engineering Technology or a related field of study or equivalent including equivalent military experience, or equivalent industry experience
