This position provides deep cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, and back-office areas. Responsible for shampooing carpets, stripping, and waxing floors. Responsible for doing heavy or deep cleaning and high cleaning on ladders scaffolds and lifts.
Our ideal candidate:
Has held a position as cleaner, or equivalent.
Minimum of two years previous janitorial experience preferred.
Must have knowledge of carpet extraction, stripping and waxing floors, scaffolding, lifts, and ladders.
Heavy lifting required.
Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work any day of the week and any shift.
Must present a well-groomed appearance.
About the role:
Perform heavy-duty cleaning tasks, including but not limited to deep cleaning of carpets, windows, balconies, doors, frames.
Other heavy-duty cleaning tasks include scrubbing bathroom walls and floors, wax striping, patio cleaning and power washing, dust all walls and ceilings, and vacuum behind the bed and all furniture.
Patio cleaning power washing etc.
May be required to clean up potential Blood Borne Pathogens.
Must accurately follow all safety procedures, guidelines, or precautions when cleaning up potential Blood Borne Pathogens.
Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to departmental and company policies.
Performs other reasonable business-related duties as assigned.
A few more things:
Must be able to maneuver in casino areas, up and down stairs and reach above shoulder level.
Able to push, pull and carry up to 100 pounds.
Able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
Must be able to work in temperatures more than 115 degrees and in cold temperatures as low as 40 degrees.
Respond to visual and aural cues.
Able to use and operate vacuum cleaners, floor cleaning equipment, dustpans, and brooms.
Must be able to work around crowded areas.
Must be able to read labels on chemical bottles.
Able to stoop, bend, reach and pull around casino and restroom areas.
Able to use finger movement and rotation wrist motion when cleaning and wiping surface areas.
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English is preferred.
Able to tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing and allergic reaction.
Depending on experience, pay starts at $21.50 per hour.
