We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team! This role is responsible for dining room meal service to our residents and maintaining supplies in the kitchenettes for our Senior Living Community. This nutrition services schedule includes;
- 70 hours every 2 weeks
- Day shift
- Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Includes every other weekend & holiday rotation

Responsibilities:
Responsible for cleanliness of some kitchen equipment, small wares, dry storage, coolers and freezers
- Responsible for putting food deliveries away. This includes rotating stock using the first in first out method.
- Records food temperatures prior to each meal service.
- Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques
- Serves prepared meals to residents and ensures the dining area is clean and inviting
- Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and happiness with their meal service
- Ability to answer the phone and write down and verbally communicate the requests.
- Assists with events as needed
Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Excellent customer service skills and proficiency, teamwork and positive demeanor required
- Desire to work with seniors
- Ability to interact compassionately and communicate effectively with residents and staff
- Prefer some work experience in a customer service setting, but not required
