Overview

The Lead Bartender is responsible for the efficient operation of the department on a shift-by-shift basis. The lead Bartender will train and supervise all Grille 254 associates and assist in mainint the La Cantera Resort and Spa standards.

The Bartender shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. S/he will be responsible for exemplifying the La Cantera Resort and Spa Culture as the Employer of Choice!

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for maintaining a consistently smooth-running operation.
  • Lead by example.
  • Train new team member on step of service expectations, menu knowledge, offerings, and substitutions
  • Supervise and support all Grille 254 associates on their shift.
  • Expedite food orders, checking for accuracy and presentation.
  • Monitor and critique food quality and service levels.
  • Check daily boards for team side work assignments and special instructions.
  • Attend and help communicate information to associates at round up.
  • Assigned section in a fair manner for each shift.
  • Look over reservations and special requests on Open Tables and then communicate with the team.
  • Checkout associate side work before running their shift reset.
  • Log how meal period went (issues, well, instructions for next shift, etc.).
  • Always do the right thing.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor.
  • Must always ensure a teamwork environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with guests and associates.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years server experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak clearly and accurately in English.
