As a room attendant you will assist in cleaning guest rooms and/or suites in a timely and thorough manner to ensure total guest satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean and service assigned rooms according to establish standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, etc. May include employee cafeteria area, refrigerator, coffee maker, cups, classes, silverware, etc.
  • Clean all public hotel areas, including restrooms, lobby, entry areas.
  • Greet any and all guests with a Good Morning, Good afternoon, or Good evening.
  • Ensure all equipment and materials used are in clean and working condition.
  • Dust all furniture in public areas.
  • Mop all surfaces in public areas.
  • Vacuum all surfaces in public areas Support Hotel Cleaning projects as requested.
  • Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
  • Respond to all guest requests efficiently and in an appropriate manner
  • Service pool area and men and ladies restrooms
  • Service executive offices and gift shop
  • Ensure that the hotel fitness center and guest laundry room are serviced throughout the day.
  • Service lobby pre-function areas and meeting space
  • Ensure water fountain station is always maintained neat and clean
  • Sweep and organized furniture in front of the hotel and report any damaged equipment.
  • Maintain knowledge of dailies, awareness of meetings, locations, groups, to assist guest with questions and directions.
  • Periodically check lobby restrooms
  • Replace pool towels and gym throughout the day
  • Empties wastebaskets throughout the day, public area and restrooms
  • Report any damage, hazards, repairs, and strangers in assigned areas to security immediately.
  • Return any items found in lobby and pool to the housekeeping department as a Lost & Found item and writing: the date where it was found, description of the item and name of the person who found it.
  • Respond to any projects or requests developed by the housekeeping management team
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Some housekeeping experience and ability to speak English preferred.
  • This job requires the ability to perform the following:
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling up to approximately 200 pounds
  • Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
  • Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
  • Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling
