The Part-Time PM Server is responsible for providing warm, prompt, and attentive service to guests during evening dining hours, including the knowledgeable service of alcoholic beverages. This role ensures guests enjoy a welcoming and satisfying dining experience while upholding the high service standards of the Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of food, beverage, and alcohol service standards.
Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol per state and local laws.
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Professional appearance and strong attention to detail.
Certification in responsible alcohol service preferred or willingness to obtain.
Essential Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly and promptly take food and beverage orders.
Deliver meals and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately.
Maintain full knowledge of the dinner menu, beverage selections, wine lists, and nightly specials.
Ensure responsible alcohol service, adhering to all state, local, and hotel policies.
Monitor guest needs throughout the dining experience, providing timely refills and attentive service.
Clear and reset tables promptly and neatly to accommodate incoming guests.
Handle guest checks and process payments according to hotel procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked dining area throughout the shift.
Stay knowledgeable about hotel amenities and services to assist with guest inquiries.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist with light food prep, restocking, or buffet service if needed.
Support team members by assisting with seating guests or other assigned tasks.
Respond to any reasonable request from supervisors or managers.
Work Environment:
Indoor, climate-controlled restaurant setting with regular exposure to hot food, beverages, and service equipment.
Standing and walking for extended periods; occasional lifting of trays and dishware.
Evening hours typically starting between 3:00pm and 5:00pm depending on business needs.
