Job Overview

The Room Attendant/Housekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring guest satisfaction by maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and public spaces. This position is responsible for upholding high cleanliness standards while contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Room Cleaning Clean and tidy guest rooms according to hotel standards, including dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, and making beds.
• Bathroom Maintenance Sanitize and clean bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and mirrors.
• Surface Cleaning Dust and wipe down furniture, decorative items, and other surfaces in guest rooms and public areas.
• Restocking Refill guest room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and linens.
• Trash Removal Empty trash bins and replace liners in guest rooms and common areas.
• Floor Care Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in guest rooms, hallways, and public spaces.
• Report Maintenance Issues Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Lost and Found Report any lost items found in guest rooms and public areas to the supervisor.
• Guest Interaction Respond to guest requests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Privacy and Security Respect guest privacy and maintain security by following established procedures.

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or related experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning techniques.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
• Strong communication skills for guest and team member interactions.
• Basic understanding of safety and sanitation practices .
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Working Conditions & Physical Effort

• Physically demanding role requiring extended standing and walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs .
• Work may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises .
• Must follow safety precautions and use protective equipment as necessary.

• Salary: Starts at $15 per hour, based on experience
