Housekeeping Skills Development Coach

Pay Rate: $22.00 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on Saturday and Sunday

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new and existing housekeeping team.
  • Conduct regular training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job coaching to reinforce best practices.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of housekeeping staff, providing constructive feedback and additional training as needed.
  • Create training materials and manuals in alignment with hotel policies and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the housekeeping management and supervisors to identify training needs and develop customized training solutions.
  • Assist in hiring process and onboarding new housekeeping staff.
  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous learning.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors on team member performance.
  • Support supervisors in preparing and distributing performance reviews.

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Preferred Knowledge and Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in housekeeping or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience in training and coaching staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping standards, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive and professional demeanor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to walk and / or stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours
  • Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoop
  • Must be able to reach and twist routinely
  • Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
  • Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds routinely
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
  • Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is performed in the Hotel but may require going onto the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
  • High volume direct public contact
