SUMMARY: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Turnback and preparation of food and beverage menu items in an impressively professional, courteous and timely manner.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: (Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to)

  • Trains new Hotel Bartenders
  • Maintains a positive attitude and acts in a consistently professional manner towards Guests and Team Members.
  • Opens/closes the venue as scheduled.
  • Orders, stocks, and maintains product inventory.
  • Develops appropriate schedules in a timely manner.
  • Ensure Team Members are equipped with all required training and the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve job expectations.
  • Provides supervision and guidance to Bartenders reporting needs for counseling and corrective to the Hotel General Manager.
  • Prepares and serves all food and beverage items by following approved recipes and maintaining consistent portion controls and quality standards.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and proper sanitation of the work area and equipment. Performs routine equipment cleaning and standard daily cleaning/maintenance as needed.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all resort amenities in order to answer Guest questions accurately.
  • Ensures all communication containing The Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians; TEDA, Inc.; Black Oak Casino Resort and Guest information is consistent with privacy policies and procedures.
  • Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, damages, and engineering and safety hazards to management.
  • Writes shift reports including any incident of theft, accident or injury as assigned.
  • Attends departmental meetings and trainings as scheduled.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned. Participates in committees as requested.
  • Receives money, makes change, processes credit card transactions, and operates from issued cash bank all within company and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Takes and delivers Guest orders.
  • Abides by all State, Federal, and local liquor regulations pertaining to the serving of alcoholic beverages to Guests.
  • Cooperates with multiple departments to effectively monitor and control the sale and service of all alcoholic beverages in the area where assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent highly preferred.
  • Must complete Food Handler or ServSafe and Responsible Alcohol Service certification or have proof of current certification.
  • Must be able to lead by example and assist Team Members on assigned shift.
  • Must possess ability to communicate and follow directions effectively in English.
  • Must possess ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment often doing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have ability to learn and operate point-of-sale system.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
  • Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
