Surly Brewing Co. is seeking a part-time Reservation Coordinator to join our hospitality team in Minneapolis, MN. The Reservation Coordinator will work both behind the scenes and in a client-facing capacity. The rate of pay is $20-22/hr. This is a part-time position and is eligible for Safe Sick Time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain outstanding standards, solid knowledge of the menus, available guest services, and SURLY beers, and all other components of customer service.
  • Create and maintain a reservation spreadsheet that will allow hospitality management and staff an "on-the-fly" look at the status of all potential events.
  • Lead by example and set the pace. Aid where needed, and contribute to building a positive team spirit.
  • Manage the Beer Hall and Pizza Restaurant public reservation program.
  • Edit Tock reservation program to fully optimize reservations during changing seasonal periods.
  • Work with our Private Events Sales Manager in the office as needed.
  • Ensures that each potential guest receives outstanding service in a prompt and timely manner.
  • Bring potentially systematic problems that require immediate action to the attention of the General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have a passion for craft beer and healthy sense of humor.
  • You have efficient time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are customer-service oriented; driven by patience, problem solving and a desire to drive brand loyalty one person at a time
  • You are full of fresh ideas about possible events and ways to approach complex/complicated guest requests.
  • You have knowledge of equipment and software including, but not limited to: phone systems, printers/fax machines, spreadsheets, email, inventory programs, Point of Sale (POS) programs, Internet applications, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in hospitality and/or events
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to translate technical concepts for a general audience
  • Curiosity to learn new processes and tools

WORKING CONDITIONS

The Reservation Coordinator will work traditional business hours in a restaurant environment
