THE JOB: At Salt & Ivy in Aria, the Host Person plays a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience. Your primary responsibility is to warmly greet and seat guests, ensuring a welcoming start to their visit. You'll also support Food Servers, Bus Persons, and Food Service Runners by providing accurate table information and assisting with guest interactions as needed. THE STARTING RATE: $21.9258 hourly THE DAY-TO-DAY: Greets and seats guests in gracious manner and distributes business among Food Servers equally and as fairly as possible. Monitors guests that are seated, and immediately respond to guest's needs or request of first contact Assists in accepting reservations, if applicable; answers phone in hospitable manner and confirms with manager if large parties can be accommodated Checks on the billing status of casino, room, bill back, and coupon and comp numbers to assist in closing of checks Directs Food Servers, Bus Persons, and Food Service Runners in their work procedures and performance and assist them in their tasks as it relates to billing, guest request or guest information Assists Restaurant Manager in controlling intermission scheduling for all dining room staff and assure that they are properly relieved Maintains complete knowledge of entire menu and proper food handling presentation and service Maintains the proper supplies for the hostess stand and podium; cleans and/or dusts host stand and podium. Maintains and makes copies and stocks host/hostess folder.
