We're currently seeking a professional and personable Host or Hostess to join our front-of-house team full time. Position Overview: As the first face guests see, you set the tone for their experience at The Carrington. This role involves more than simply greeting and seating it requires attentiveness, grace under pressure, and a focus on smooth guest flow throughout service. Key Responsibilities: Warmly welcome and graciously greet all guests upon arrival Open the front door for guests whenever possible as they enter or exit Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently, offering accurate wait times Accommodate special seating requests and preferences whenever possible Ensure balanced seating across service stations to support smooth service Escort guests to tables, present menus, and introduce their server Monitor the dining area to keep seating flowing and guest experience seamless Assist with basic server and busser support during peak hours Handle guest payments professionally and accurately Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating clearly with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff Assist with writing the daily feature board Maintain a secure and orderly front-of-house area during opening and closing Thank guests sincerely as they depart, inviting them to return What We're Looking For: A welcoming, professional presence and excellent communication skills Availability for morning shifts and weekends Comfortable standing for extended periods (up to 5 hours) Well-groomed appearance and commitment to high presentation standards No prior experience required we'll provide the training Compensation & Benefits: Starting pay: $17/hour Schedule: Full time (32-40 hours per week), with morning and weekend availability required Benefits include: Medical, Dental & Vision insurance (after 60 days) Short-Term Disability & Life Insurance (also after 60 days) 401(k) with a generous 6% employer match (after 1 year) Over five weeks of paid leave annually accruing from day one!
