Job Summary: The position of a Server plays a large role in creating and providing the best customer experience and guest satisfaction. Servers are essentially the 'face' of the restaurant.
Job Requirements/Duties:
*Knowledgeable in menu items; communicates specials and makes appropriate suggestions when requested
*Takes customers through the entire process of an excellent dining experience from start to finish
*Assist all other departments when requested or as time permits throughout your shift
*Be on-time and prepared to work for every shift
*Maintains a clean, sanitized and clutter-free dining area and restrooms
*Proficient in reservation system and Point of Sale software
*Relays guests' order to the kitchen through Point of Sale system in an organized and easy to
understand manner
*Servers must be educated on food allergies and work with the kitchen to ensure caution is taken if a customer presents an allergy
*Be prompt in delivery of beverages, condiments and food
*Keep customers abreast on food times and/or any delays in service
*Anticipate guests' needs in order to facilitate an enjoyable dining experience
*Clear dishes as they become available - make sure dishes are cleared prior to next course being served
*Present check and collect payment in a timely manner
*Communicate with management regarding customer needs and/or complaints
*Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed customer expectations
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; active listener
*Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment
*Strong teamwork attitude, work ethic and willingness to take initiative
*Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize several tasks
*Confident and outgoing demeanor
*Communicates professionally and clearly with all types of personalities
*Maintain excellent personal hygiene and physical appearance
*Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
*Maintain current OLCC and Food Handler certifications
*Remain vigilant on Health Department's requirements for Food Service Industry personnel.
