Job Summary: The position of a Host plays a large role in creating and providing the best customer experience and guest satisfaction. The Host is the first line of defense and essentially the 'face' of the restaurant.
Job Qualifications:
*Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exceed customer expectations
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; active listener
*Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
*Strong teamwork attitude, work ethic and willingness to take initiative
*Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize several tasks
*Confident and outgoing demeanor
*Able to communicate professionally and clearly with all types of personalities
*Maintain excellent personal hygiene and professional appearance
*Be on-time and prepared to work for every shift
*Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
*Maintain current Food Handler certifications
*Remain vigilant on Health Department's requirements for Food Service Industry personnel, including state COVID-19 guidelines
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
*Greeting guests as they enter and seating or communicating wait times
*Answering phone calls and taking reservations
*Proficient in reservation system software
*Providing guests with menus and being able to field initial guest questions
*Knowledgeable of the menu
*Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers are not overwhelmed in their section
*Assist with bussing, cleaning and turnover of tables as guests exit the dining area
*Assist with taking, delivering and cashing out TO GO orders
*Maintain a clean, sanitized and clutter-free dining area and restrooms
*Communicate with management regarding customer needs and/or complaints
*Assist all other departments when requested or as time permits throughout your shift
Hours: 10 - 30 per week
Pay: $14.70 + Tips
