JJYS Food Service Worker II
Salt Lake City, Utah

A Food Service Supervisor II will prepare meals for clients and staff in a Juvenile Justice and Youth Services institutional setting. You will need to have a Food Handler's permit (or obtain one while working for the State).
Principal Duties
Cooks, bakes prepares and serves food
Cleans, sterilizes and or disinfects areas and/or equipment
Supervises personnel including: hiring, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions
Plans menus, determines amounts to be prepared and how leftovers should be utilized
Orders and receives equipment, merchandise, materials, and supplies
Inspects and maintains food quality, handling, and safety standards
Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc.
Provides assistance and/or on-the-job training
Writes or drafts correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials
Keeps records and prepares reports

We are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys cooking and following recipes. We are looking for a candidate who is available to work rotating shifts (which include days, nights, weekends and holidays).
