Irene's Bakery Ltd. is looking for a full time baker's helper to work daily with sweets and pastries - we are willing to train you. Irene's Bakery produces high quality, wholesale, fresh baked goods for food service (restaurant) and grocery store customers in the Victoria and Vancouver island markets. JOB DESCRIPTION

Follows directions of the Head Baker.
Communicates with other staff to ensure both safety and consistency of products.
Assists bakers as directed with various tasks including donut frying and other tasks as directed
Work-station clean-up.
HOURS

40 hours per week, Sunday through Friday, 9am-5:30pm shift including paid 30 min break
Starting pay $19.50/hour.
CONDITIONS

Commercial wholesale bakery operation;
High-volume and fast-paced, especially in summer;
Moderate noise levels and lifting are part of the job;
Work as part of a fast paced team;
Centrally located on 30 and 31 bus route. Free parking.
QUALITIES and EXPERIENCE

Some experience in food production prefered.
Bread and pastry experience, or Level 1 FoodSafe are an asset.
Reliability and dedication are most important.
Good communication and willingness to learn.
Follows direction and pays attention to detail; consistency is the goal.
