Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with over 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with their hands and repairing machinery, performing both electrical and mechanical predictive and corrective maintenance tasks. Responsibilities Perform all electrical and mechanical predictive and corrective maintenance tasks. Maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and use skills to troubleshoot with effective communication. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with a focus on hydraulics. Maintain electrical equipment and components, working with frequency controllers, electrical conductors, conduit, cable trays, power panels, motor control centers, and overhead lines. Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Fabricate and repair tooling and machines when necessary. Essential Skills Expertise in hydraulics and mechanics. Strong troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting. Experience as a maintenance technician, particularly with compression and injection molding machines. Ability to repair and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Work Environment The work environment includes a 2nd shift opening with a start time at 11am, 12pm, or 1pm depending on the candidate's needs, with a shift end at 11pm. The successful candidate must train on the 1st shift for 4 weeks. The facility operates 24/7 with over 25 presses and injection molding machines. Join a maintenance team consisting of a maintenance manager, a maintenance supervisor, and a mechanic, with this position as the fourth member. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
