Description
Shee Atika Inc. is searching for Food Servers to fill a new role supporting our Sheet'ka Salmon Tales tours! Food service employees will act as representatives of Shee Atika, Inc. providing excellent customer service and teamwork to ensure a smooth, efficient and enjoyable dining experience for all visitors.
This is a seasonal position that runs annually from May through September, with the current term ending in September 2025. Work hours are based on cruise ship and tour schedules to include weekends and holidays.
Food Servers will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Greet guests, provide exceptional customer service, and build rapport with guests in an interactive dining environment
Set up drinks and coffee service and clean replenish throughout the day
Set up condiment station and clean restock throughout the day
Prepare cutlery and containers for fast and efficient food service
Work as a team to serve large groups in an expedited manner
Process payments
Clear tables and maintain a clean and organized dining, kitchen and food service area
Assist with food prep, cleanup and other kitchen duties as needed
Requirements
Alaska Food Worker Card and knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, or ability to obtain within 14 days of hire
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Physically capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Enthusiasm for providing an exceptional outdoor dining experience for visitors to Sitka, Alaska
