Position Description
Applied Medical is currently in search of entry-level Polymer Preventative Maintenance Technicians aspiring to pursue a career in Industrial Maintenance. The primary role of the Polymer Preventative Maintenance Technician is maintaining regular scheduled maintenance activities to prevent unexpected failures to machinery and ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our Manufacturing equipment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and ensuring the safety of patients and healthcare professionals who rely on our devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Routine Maintenance: Complete preventive maintenance on Injection Molding machinery, along with auxiliary equipment according to the planned schedule.
- Execute Preventative Maintenance Tasks: Follow established maintenance schedules and procedures to perform preventative maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and replacing parts as necessary.
- Document Maintenance Activities: Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities, including dates, tasks performed, parts used, and any observations or recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain Inventory: Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks and ensure timely replenishment to minimize downtime.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fluent in English
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate proficiency by performance and/or certificates with basic mechanical aptitude and standard hand holds.
Preferred
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in inspecting and maintaining machinery, with a keen eye for identifying subtle signs of wear or malfunction.
- Time Management and prioritization to conduct preventive maintenance activities in a timely manner, minimizing downtime.
- Adaptability to handle changing work environments and the capacity to learn.
