Childcare Cook

Early Childhood Cook/Dietary Aide Kids First Inc. is a licensed childcare center seeking a Cook/Dietary Aide ! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education. To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, the ability to pass all background checks, and food service experience. Child care experience and an F endorsement are a plus and could result in higher starting rate! Our Hiring Process:

1. Resume screen
2. Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes)
3. On-site interview with Center Director (30-60 minutes)
4. Offer

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparing nutritious well-balanced meals, that meet food program requirements for items served.
• Oversee the maintenance of a clean, orderly, and sanitary kitchen .
• Manage monthly inventory on non-food items, such as cups, plates etc. as well as all food items needed for the food service order ; d isperse groceries, food service, and paper supply order to appropriate areas of the building .
• Request items within budget for additional equipment needed to help maintain the kitchen and mealtimes on track and turn in request to the Center Director.
• Assist in the classrooms as needed by relieving teachers for breaks and being an additional support resource.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role .
