Job DetailsWe are currently hiring for a Cook (Chop & Puree) in our Food Service department. Please see below to learn about the qualifications and requirements.
Prepare all meals in accordance with all health guidelines & follow menu plan as written. Make sure food is cooked properly and pay attention to special diets, portions size and textures as they are defined by diet.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Follow all menus as written
2. Make sure that you have all your menu items properly pulled in time for meal preparation.
3. Prepare food under sanitary conditions and follow all time and temperature regulations.
4. Make sure diets are made to correct consistency as stated by diet order.
5. Prepare special restricted diets as they are written.
6. Make sure all food is properly labeled as it is prepared.
7. Clean area and equipment in between different menu items.
8. Check with supervisor of Kitchen for updates or changes.
9. Report any problems regrading equipment or food supplies.
10. Follow other duties as instructed by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of equipment to be used in food service department.(commercial food processor, oven, stove & steamer.)
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.(follow planed menu)
Ability to work cooperatively with others.
Experience in making chop and puree food preferred.(prepare, cook and processes menu items)
Food sanitation Certification required within 6 months of hire.
Able to keep kitchen sanitary during shift.
Pay: $21.00/hr
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm - 2 weekends a month, Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4pm
