Building Maintenance Technician

Under general supervision, performs at the experienced journey level, installing, altering, maintaining and repairing minor plumbing systems, fittings and accessories, both interior and exterior at a state healthcare facility. Performs related duties as required. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position. Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug and alcohol screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable cause as set forth in agency and bureau policies. Applicants must successfully complete a criminal background check. Experience:

Two (2) years of full time or equivalent part-time experience in performing maintenance and repair work in one or more building maintenance trades (e.g., electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting).
