Substitutes (Teachers, Paraeducators, Custodians)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATONS:1.Patience, sense of humor, flexibility, consistency;2.Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent;3.Knowledge of Schools;4.Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities;5.Ability to work cooperatively with school staff and administration;6.Ability to supervise and work cooperatively with students;7.Ability to provide instruction as outlines in substitute plans;8.Proven ability to work independently;9.Decision making with minimal supervision; accurate, efficient, and capable handling of complex assignments;10.Respect of confidential information;11.Willingness to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:1.Position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move up to 20 pounds occasionally;2.Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflict effectively;3.Job is performed in a school setting with occasional outside weather conditions.;4.Ability to work in a typical school environment with inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme temperatures, noise and hazards.

(please provide copies of transcripts/certifications)PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES1.Respond to call for your service from the Substitute Coordinator and keep your commitment.2.Report to the school office before each days assignment for instructions3.Be at your assigned work assignment4.Ask questions if the plans or information is unclear5.Become familiar with emergency, fire and lock-down procedures6.Keep any knowledge or material concerning the school confidential7.Supervise student at all time8.Leave your work area in good order9.Report to the school office at the conclusion of the day10.Abide by the information contained within the substitute handbook11.Respond to any other reasonable request made by the principal.
