JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about food, are eager to learn and work hard, and bring good energy to work. We offer a structured training program as well as flexible schedules to support your other goals. Experience is preferred, but we value enthusiasm, passion, and work ethic and are willing to train the right person.

At Sofra, you will

  • Maintain a clean kitchen, including washing dishes, sorting dishes, organizing dish area, restocking chemicals, cleaning floors, emptying trash and recycling bins, and assisting with other cleaning and organizing tasks as needed
  • Ensure proper operation of dish machinery and report any technical/performance issues
  • Assist in food prep and other duties requested by the chef as needed

Qualified candidates will

  • Be able to work at least 30 hours per week every week (roughly 36-40 hours per week)
  • Have full weekend availability
  • Be available holidays
  • Have a desire for long-term employment
  • Treat customers and co-workers with courtesy and respect
  • Work in a clean and organized fashion
  • Follow clearly documented food safety procedures
  • Work as a team and take direction from multiple managers
  • Be able to read and follow written recipes, deal successfully with multitasking and be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
  • Exhibit a desire to learn
  • Have a strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
  • Have excellent attendance and punctuality

COMPENSATION

  • $20-24/hour that includes a percentage of our kitchen appreciation fee
